Foxfire is a unique planned community in Moore County's Sandhills, about 90 miles south of Raleigh via US 15-501 and 15 miles from the famous Pinehurst golf resorts. Access comes mainly through US 15-501 and NC 211, with I-95 about 30 miles east. The community operates as a private cooperative where residents own shares rather than individual deeds.
