Fox Lake is a small city in northern Illinois, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago near the Wisconsin border. Take I-94 to Exit 1 (Route 173) and head west, or use Route 12 from the south through Lake County's chain of lakes region. The area's rolling terrain and numerous waterways make it popular with boaters and anglers. The Fox River flows right through downtown and hosts an annual cardboard boat regatta each summer.
