Fourche is a tiny Arkansas River Valley community in Perry County, accessible via Highway 9 south from Morrilton. The area sits where Fourche Creek joins the Arkansas River, surrounded by farmland and timber country. Most visitors arrive from Little Rock via I-40 west to Morrilton, then south on Highway 9 for about 15 miles. The community takes its name from the French word for "fork," marking the confluence of two waterways.
