Fountain Valley is a quiet Orange County suburb of 56,000 people, located between Huntington Beach and Santa Ana. The 405 freeway runs along its eastern edge, while Highway 39 (Beach Boulevard) cuts through the center, providing easy access to the coast just eight miles away. Popular routes include Warner Avenue west to Huntington Beach and the 405 north to Irvine and LA. John Wayne Airport is seven miles southeast. The city gets its name from natural artesian springs that once created fountains throughout the area.
