Fortescue is one of Missouri's tiniest incorporated cities with just eight residents, tucked into Holt County's farmland near the Nebraska border. Take Highway 159 from US-136, about 20 miles northwest of Maryville or 100 miles from Kansas City via I-35 and US-36. The town officially maintains its city status despite being smaller than most family reunions.
