Fort Worth anchors the western side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, connected by I-35W, I-20, and I-30 to Dallas 30 miles east. Major routes include I-35W from Austin/San Antonio, I-20 from El Paso, and the I-820 loop. Two airports serve the area: Fort Worth Meacham International and the joint military-civilian NAS Fort Worth JRB. The historic Stockyards still feature twice-daily cattle drives down Exchange Avenue by real cowboys.
