Fort White is a small north Florida town of about 500 people, famous for its crystal-clear springs that stay 72 degrees year-round. Take US 27 north from Gainesville (25 miles) or I-75 to US 27 from Jacksonville (90 miles). The big draw is Ichetucknee Springs State Park, where eight major springs pump 233 million gallons of pristine water daily into a six-mile tubing river.
