Fort Dix is a major Army training base in central New Jersey's Pine Barrens, about 18 miles southeast of Trenton. Access routes include I-295 to Route 68 from the north, Route 70 east from Philadelphia, and I-195 to Route 68 from New York via the Turnpike. The base forms part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and serves as the Army's only East Coast Basic Combat Training site.
