Forney is a growing suburb about 20 miles east of Dallas via Interstate 20, the main route for visitors from DFW Airport or East Texas. Highway 80 runs through downtown, while State Highway 205 connects north to Lake Ray Hubbard and south to Kaufman. The restored 1880s Santa Fe Depot downtown now serves as the town's museum.
