Forest is a small Louisiana city of 486 people in West Carroll Parish, accessible via Highway 17 from Monroe (45 miles) or Vicksburg, Mississippi (40 miles). The town sits in the rolling Delta countryside where cotton fields meet woodlands. Remnants of the old Vicksburg, Shreveport and Pacific Railway grade still run through the community.
