Forest Hill is a small Louisiana town of about 700 people, located 15 miles south of Alexandria on US Highway 165. The drive from Alexandria takes 20 minutes through pine forests and rural farmland. Highway 112 connects it east-west to other small communities, while longer trips route through Alexandria and Interstate 49. The town sits on some of the highest ground in Rapides Parish, offering expansive views of the surrounding pine forests.
