Fordyce is a farming town of 195 people in northeastern Nebraska's Cedar County. US Highway 20 runs through the area, connecting it to Laurel and Coleridge to the east and Plainview to the west. The surrounding countryside is classic Great Plains agricultural land with corn and soybean fields. A white wooden grain elevator serves as the town's most recognizable landmark.
