Forada is a tiny lake country town of 161 people in west-central Minnesota's Douglas County. Highway 29 runs north-south through town, connecting to Alexandria 15 miles southeast and continuing toward Parkers Prairie. Most visitors come via I-94 to Alexandria, then north on Highway 29, or from Highway 210. The town's post office has operated continuously since 1901 in its modest building.
