Fonda is a small farming town in northwest Iowa, reachable via US Highway 169 north-south and State Highway 7 east-west. It's about 30 miles from Fort Dodge and sits amid corn and soybean country with typical Midwest weather. The old brick bank building downtown still has its original vault door on display.
