Folkston is a small Georgia city near the Florida border, accessible via US Highway 1 from Jacksonville (45 miles south) or Waycross (35 miles north). Most visitors take I-95 to Exit 3, then follow Route 40 west. The town of 4,600 sits in pine flatlands with a humid subtropical climate.
