Flushing is a small city in eastern Michigan, about 10 miles northwest of Flint along the Flint River. Drivers reach it via I-75 (Exit 118 at Pierson Road) or State Route 13, which runs north-south through downtown. The city sits in rolling farmland between Michigan's agricultural areas and Flint's industrial zone. Its historic downtown centerpiece is the restored 1888 Community Center, originally built as an opera house.
