Florala is a border town of 1,800 people sitting right on the Alabama-Florida line in pine country. State Route 331 runs straight through town, connecting north to Montgomery (90 miles) and south to the Florida Panhandle. It's known for Lake Jackson, a 1,000-acre lake where you can literally fish in two states from the same boat.
