Fleming-Neon is a small mountain community in eastern Kentucky's coal country, home to 567 residents in Letcher County. US Highway 119 provides the main access route, connecting north to Whitesburg and south through the region's winding valley roads. The town's hyphenated name comes from two former coal camps that merged into one city.
