Flaxville is a tiny farming town of 77 people in Montana's far northeast corner, just 15 miles from Canada. Drive Highway 5 north from Scobey for the most direct 20-mile route, or take Highway 2 from Williston, North Dakota. The community still operates one of Montana's last one-room schoolhouses, where one teacher handles all grades K-8.
