Flanagan is a farming community of 849 people in central Illinois, about 20 miles northeast of Pontiac on Route 116. Most visitors take I-55 to the Dwight exit, then head west on Route 17 and north on Route 116 - about two hours from Chicago. The town sits in classic Midwest corn and soybean country with flat to gently rolling terrain. The grain elevator towers over everything else and can be spotted from Route 116 well before you reach town.
