Firebaugh sits on Highway 33 in California's Central Valley, about 45 miles west of Fresno. This agricultural town serves as a stop between the valley and coast, with Highway 33 connecting north to I-5 and west toward Coalinga. Popular routes include trips to nearby Mendota and longer drives to Fresno via Highway 152. The Tesla Supercharger station makes it a convenient EV stop for cross-valley travel. The city is named after Andrew Firebaugh, who ran a ferry crossing here in the 1850s.
