Fillmore is a farming town of about 900 people in rural Putnam County, 35 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Take I-70 west to Danville, then State Road 36 southwest through scenic farmland. SR 243 connects north to Coatesville and south to Greencastle. The community preserves a historic one-room schoolhouse that now serves as a local museum.
