Festus is a Mississippi River town about 45 minutes south of St. Louis via Interstate 55. Take Exit 174 to Highway 61, which runs through downtown and connects to the Missouri wine country via Highway 67. The restored Twin City Opera House from the 1920s still hosts live shows and anchors the historic downtown district.
