Ferryville is a riverside village of 200 people in Crawford County, accessible via scenic Highway 35 along the Mississippi River. The Great River Road connects it to Prairie du Chien (15 miles south) and runs through Wisconsin's Driftless Area bluff country. The village operates one of Wisconsin's last cable ferries, carrying cars across the Mississippi to Iowa since the early 1900s.
