Ferdinand is a tiny farming town in north-central Idaho, about 20 miles southeast of Grangeville via US Highway 95. The community sits on a scenic plateau surrounded by wheat fields and forested hills. Most visitors arrive on Highway 95 from Lewiston (75 miles northwest) or Boise to the south, while State Route 162 connects east to Kamiah. The town operates one of Idaho's smallest post offices, which doubles as the community center.
