Fenton is a small city of about 4,000 people in St. Louis County, sitting along the Meramec River about 20 miles southwest of downtown St. Louis. Interstate 44 runs along its northern edge, with Highway 141 cutting north-south through town, making it easily accessible from the metro area. The city is famous as the birthplace of the ice cream cone, invented by local baker Ernest Hamwi for the 1904 World's Fair.
