Fayetteville is a small Georgia city about 20 miles south of Atlanta, accessible via I-85 and connected by State Route 54 to neighboring Peachtree City. The town sits in rolling Piedmont countryside with a humid subtropical climate. Its restored 1825 courthouse on the town square still displays the original jail cells in the basement.
