Farragut is an upscale suburb 15 miles west of Knoxville, accessible via I-40 exits 373 and 374. Kingston Pike connects the community to downtown Knoxville and regional destinations. The town sits along the Tennessee River in Knox County's rolling hills. McGhee Tyson Airport is 20 miles south. It's named after Civil War Admiral David Farragut, famous for his "Damn the torpedoes" battle cry.
