Farragut is a small farming town of about 400 people in southwestern Iowa, near the Nebraska border. Highway 2 runs east-west through town, connecting to Shenandoah 12 miles west and Interstate 35 near Osceola for longer trips. The historic 1900 opera house on Main Street recalls the town's railroad-era prosperity.
