Farmington is the St. Francois County seat in southeastern Missouri, about 70 miles south of St. Louis via US Highway 67. The city sits in the historic Lead Belt mining region where highways 67, 32, and 8 converge. Farmington Regional Airport serves general aviation just southeast of downtown.
