Farmington is a Twin Cities suburb about 25 miles south of Minneapolis via Highway 3. This Dakota County city of 24,000 sits on rolling prairie land with easy Interstate 35 access for commuters. Most visitors are heading to the metro area or continuing south toward Iowa and Northfield. The 1914 city hall downtown still operates with its original pressed tin ceiling intact.
