Fall River is a small Wisconsin city of 1,700 people located 20 miles northeast of Madison via Highway 16. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 94 near Lake Mills or take Highway 151 north from Madison through scenic dairy country. The community sits along the Crawfish River in rolling farmland typical of southern Wisconsin's glacial landscape. The historic downtown features a restored 1890s dam and millpond where an old flour mill still stands.
