Falcon is a small rural community in Cumberland County, about 20 miles southwest of Fayetteville via US Highway 401. Most visitors come from Raleigh (75 miles) or Charlotte (100 miles) on longer trips, while locals use US-401 for Fort Liberty commutes. The town got its name from an old railroad depot that served the area's lumber industry.
