Fairwater is a tiny Wisconsin farming community of 350 people in Fond du Lac County, about 80 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Highway 49 runs north-south through town, connecting to Waupun (12 miles south) and Berlin (15 miles north), while County Road K provides east-west access. The village preserves a historic one-room schoolhouse from 1895 that now operates as a local museum.
