Fairview is a tiny Butler County community of under 200 people, about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh via I-79 and Route 8. The rural town sits among rolling farmland and woods typical of western Pennsylvania. Visitors come mainly from Pittsburgh (45 minutes) or Erie (75 minutes) using I-79 as the primary route. The name comes from the scenic countryside views visible from the town's higher elevations.
