Fairview perches on the Palisades cliffs overlooking Manhattan, making it one of New Jersey's most densely packed communities at nearly 7,000 people per square mile. Route 9 runs right through town, connecting to the Lincoln Tunnel approach and I-95. Popular drives include the quick trip to Weehawken's ferry terminal or north to the George Washington Bridge. Newark Airport sits 25 miles southwest. The town's crown jewel is Fairview Avenue, which offers one of the best unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline in all of New Jersey.
