Fairfield is a small Pennsylvania borough near the Maryland border, about 8 miles southwest of Gettysburg via PA-116. The town sits quietly in Adams County's rolling hills, connected by rural highways including PA-997 and local roads leading to US-30. Despite its modest elevation, Fairfield is home to Liberty Mountain Resort, one of Pennsylvania's southernmost ski areas.
