Fairfax is a Northern Virginia city 20 miles west of DC, connected by I-66 and Route 50. Popular routes include short trips to Vienna Metro via Route 123 and longer drives on I-66 toward DC or the Shenandoah Valley. Dulles Airport is 15 miles northwest. The city centers on a historic courthouse square that's been in continuous use since 1800.
