Fairfax is a small Osage County city 20 miles northwest of Tulsa via Highway 18. Most visitors drive north from Tulsa on US-169 then west on Highway 18, or approach from Oklahoma City via I-35 to US-412. The restored 1920s Fairfax Chief Theater remains one of Oklahoma's few small-town cinemas still showing movies and hosting live performances.
