Fabrica is a small Texas town of about 800 people in Maverick County, 15 miles northeast of Eagle Pass near the Mexican border. Reach it via US 277 from Eagle Pass or US 90 west from San Antonio through Uvalde. The surrounding brush country features active oil wells whose pump jacks create a distinctive rhythmic sound across the plains.
