Eyota is a small farming town of about 2,000 people in southeastern Minnesota, located 15 miles west of Rochester on Highway 14. The main route connects directly to Rochester and continues west toward the Twin Cities. County Road 6 provides north-south access through rolling agricultural land typical of the region. The town's name comes from a Dakota word meaning "greatest."
