Exline is a farming community of 73 people in south-central Iowa's Appanoose County. Reach it via Highway 5 west from Ottumwa, then south on county roads, or from Des Moines via Highway 34 southeast to local connections. The rolling agricultural landscape features corn and soybean fields under Iowa's continental climate. It's one of Iowa's smallest incorporated towns, where everyone knows their neighbors.
