Exira is a small Iowa farming town along Highway 71, about 60 miles northeast of Omaha. Most visitors arrive via Highway 71 from Interstate 80 or Highway 173 from Interstate 35. The town sits in rolling prairie country where Danish immigrants once settled. Its most notable landmark is a working replica of a traditional Danish windmill that still operates today.
