Ewing is a small farming town in northeastern Missouri's Lewis County, connected by US Highway 61 running north-south and State Route 16 going east-west. Most visitors arrive via Highway 61 from Hannibal, about 25 miles south, which also provides access to Interstate 72 for longer trips. The town of 542 people sits in rolling agricultural country near the Mark Twain National Forest, with a historic 1904 one-room schoolhouse still standing downtown.
