Everly is a small farming town in northwest Iowa, about 12 miles east of Spencer on Highway 18. Most visitors arrive via US 69 north from Des Moines, then west on Highway 18 for about 180 miles total. The Spencer Municipal Airport is nearby for air travelers. The town sits in Clay County's agricultural heartland, surrounded by corn and soybean fields under Iowa's continental climate. The original grain elevator still dominates downtown, serving local farms just as it has since the early farming boom.
