Evansville is a Rock County city about 20 miles southeast of Madison via Highway 14. The main routes are Highway 14 east-west and Highway 213 north-south to Janesville and I-90. It's a 25-minute drive from Madison through rolling farmland along the Rock River. The 1904 Eager Free Public Library with its red brick and limestone facade anchors the historic downtown.
