Evansville is a farming town of 550 people in west-central Minnesota, about 25 miles northeast of Alexandria via Highway 27. The drive from Minneapolis takes roughly 2.5 hours on I-94 west to Highway 27 north. Set among lakes and farmland in Douglas County, the town still operates one of Minnesota's few remaining original grain elevators from 1950.
