Eureka is an old silver mining town in Utah's mountains, about 80 miles south of Salt Lake City via I-15 and Route 6. The scenic drive climbs to 6,400 feet through Spanish Fork Canyon. Most visitors come for the Tintic Mining Museum in the original 1899 city hall, which showcases artifacts from the town's boom years when it produced over $300 million in precious metals.
