Estral Beach is a tiny lakefront community of 372 people on Lake Erie's western shore, about 30 miles southwest of Detroit. Most visitors take I-75 to Exit 15, then follow US-125 east to the lake. It's a 45-minute drive from Detroit and popular with Ohio visitors coming up from Toledo. The community has one of the few remaining public boat launches on Michigan's Lake Erie shoreline.
