Escanaba anchors Michigan's Upper Peninsula as Delta County's largest city, positioned on Lake Michigan's Green Bay. US Highway 2 runs east-west through town, while Highway 41 connects north to Marquette and south to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Most visitors cross the Mackinac Bridge from Lower Michigan or drive north from Wisconsin via Highway 141. The city's Ludington Park boasts one of the UP's longest Lake Michigan sand beaches.
